I was thrilled to meet Meghan.  We met through a former bride and groom of ours that I just loved and so I knew I wanted to work with her right from the start!  Meghan and Ryan are the sweetest couple and we have had a great time together through every step of our journey together.... planning the engagement shoot, the shoot itself, planning the bridals (which we are still doing) and everything that it takes to make these photoshoots come together as exactly what the couple wants.  It's just icing on the cake when you get to have so much fun doing it all!

For Tara and Julian's engagement session, they wanted a variety between the natural outdoors and uptown.  Fortunately here in Charlotte, we have that luxury all in one spot!  We headed over to Freedom Park just outside of Uptown for the first portion of our session.  Tara and Julian were picture perfect and so much fun.  It was a hot day, but we had so much fun that I hardly noticed.

Then it was off to uptown.  We toured around and snapped some really neat shots.  The weather and light were working in our favor and there were so many opportunities that we had to cease within minutes to take advantage of.  But Tara and Julian were up to the task and it really paid off!  There were moments when we had to dive into an area to benefit from a reflection off of a building, and other times when we scrambled to get the sun exactly where we wanted it behind the clouds to make beautiful rays raining down around them.  It was fun to be so flexible and just enjoy what nature was giving us!

I can't wait until their September wedding at The Bottle Factory in Monroe, NC!!!

I met Kira and was immediately drawn to her free spirit right away!  So I looked forward to meeting Evan because I knew, like her, he would be one of those people that you just want to be around.  And I was right.  We had the best time together for their engagement session.  

Kira and Evan are getting married at The Ivy Place in Lancaster, SC.  We met there for their engagement session and I instantly fell in love with the charm of the location.  It is the perfect place for these two, featuring so many different looks, all of which have an effortless natural beauty.  It's the kind of place where you can picture a writer being inspired to write a classic novel from the gardens or out by the old oak tree in the field.  

We started in the fields with their dogs and made our way over to the old oak tree.  Kira and Evan are perfect together and they are so natural that there was practically no effort on my part to photograph them.  By the time we made it over to the gardens I was just quietly capturing them together as a couple.  It was great and I'm so happy for them.  Capturing that kind of love and chemistry is magical.

I look forward to their wedding next month at The Ivy Place!

Meet Cailyn and Mike.  This southern belle found her gent and they couldn't be cuter!  When I met Cailyn and Mike to plan their engagement session over a glass of wine at the wine room right around the corner from their condo, I knew we were an instant fit!  Between my experience with shooting in uptown and Mike's work uptown, we planned their engagement session with lots of quaint spots mingled in with locations that show the epitome of Uptown Charlotte.  It's going to be quite the contrast to what will be their beautiful southern Mississippi wedding!

We had such a great time and Mike and Cailyn were so naturally perfect together... it made things so incredibly easy for me.  I had such a wonderful time spending time with them and look forward to building their engagement guestbook for their wedding.

I was destined to meet Laura at some point and I'm so glad it was in time for us to be a part of her wedding!  Laura was the president of Wedding Professional Connection in Charlotte, so we were honored that she chose us to capture her big day.  Laura is a planner and a do-er.  She did so much on her own and it was excecuted to perfection!  

When we met for her final timeline meeting, things were a breeze because we were already so organized that we were really able to just have fun.  I don't think I've ever just sat and silly-laughed as much as we did that day!

Laura, you are an amazing girl and loads of fun!!!!

We were treated to a perfect day of weather for Laura's special day at Trump National Golf Club on Lake Norman! What made it even more special was the incredible friends and family both Laura and Ryan have surrounded themselves with that came together to support them on their big day. The day was a true celebration from the beginning until the very end with incredible moments of a first dance literally in the clouds and special moments shared along the shoreline of Lake Norman!
